Summary[]
The group arrives at the doorstep of the Guild's mobile research facility the Ironworks, and Velou meets the boisterous instructor and conductor, "Hot Blooded Debonair".
Now, three months of arduous training begins. What awaits Velou in this metal fortress? What kind of people will he meet? And what are the Red List's mysterious plans for him?
Plot Details[]
One week after leaving behind the ruins of Kasoka Village, Velou and his companions arrive in the port town of Borderport. Now, the young boy stands before a massive fortress: the Guild's mobile research facility and training camp, the Ironworks.
He looks on in awe and remarks that it looks like an enormous metal box, when suddenly, a large muscular woman steps into view. She introduces herself as Debonair Diamond, the instructor and conductor on board the Irownorks, as she towers over the boy. The massive woman then turns to Grimm, who explains that she has brought along three camp hopefuls.
Debonair remembers Tylty and Mylty, as well as their poor performance in the Debarkation Exam, much to the siblings' chagrin. She vigorously shakes Velou's hand, welcoming him aboard; and as his palm stings, the boy ponders why her hands felt so unusually hot.
